In the Rookies Sophomores Juniors Game that took place on Friday during the PBA All-Star Weekend at the City of Passi Arena in Iloilo, Team Greats emerged victorious with a score of 158-138 over Team Stalwarts.
Magnolia’s Adrian Wong, who plays for Team Greats and is coached by Richard Del Rosario, was named Most Valuable Player after scoring 18 of his total 29 points in the game’s final period.
Wong was responsible for the majority of the damage done to the opposing side, Team Stalwarts, who was coached by Caloy Garcia. Garcia was an assistant coach for Wong’s previous team, Rain or Shine, with whom he played for his first two seasons before switching to Magnolia.

The entire baseball game was intensely contested up until the very end. The decisive run for Team Greats came in the fourth and final quarter, and it was capped off by Wong with a three-point dunk, much to the pleasure of the spectators.
During the competition that included a four-pointer and a three-point slam, the fourth quarter was decided by a score of 54-41 in favor of Team Greats over Team Stalwarts. This came after a close score of 104-97 at the end of the third quarter.

Encho Serrano and Joshua Munzon were leading Team Stalwarts in the last quarter when they were defeated, and their efforts were wasted as a result. While Serrano finished with 40 points for his squad, Munzon contributed 32 of his own.
